Journey to healthy mindset

I was at a point in my life where I was angry all the time, I was just over all a negative person. Until one day I quickly realized this is just not a way to live. Through yoga and meditation my mind set changed completely, now this is not for everyone but this is something that worked for me and until this day it still does. When I do yoga and flow through each pose not only am I physically healing my body but mentally as well. I create a positive thought dedicated to my practice that helps me keep my focus only on that one thing. With my meditation and prayer I do the same, putting all that energy into something positive that can change how the rest of my day goes.

Also wanting to heal yourself mentally goes along with the people that you surround yourself with. Surround yourself with those who will bring positive energy into your life. Be around people that you can open up too and will help you become a better version of yourself.

Listen!! Talk about what you feel!! Don’t be afraid because there are plenty of people out there who are going through something similar. If yoga and meditation doesn’t work for you which its not for everyone then find another way. But please don’t just stay like this, find a way to overcome what you are going through. We live in a world today that makes us feel that if we talk about what we are feeling it’s crazy. Listen you are not crazy!! We are human and its normal to feel this way. So please reach out to someone you trust and just talk about what you are feeling.

Here are a few tips that can maybe help you, that have helped me so far.

  1. Yoga
  2. Meditation
  3. Mantra (Positive statement repeated over)
  4. Sitting down with someone and just talking about what you are feeling
  5. Journal (writing your thoughts down on paper)
  6. Surrounding yourself around positive people (that does play a huge part)
